Obituary for Juliette (Palhete) Severyn
Juliette (Palhete) Severyn, 89, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Born in Ludlow, daughter of the late John and Augustina (Ferreira) Palhete, she was a lifelong resident and graduate of Ludlow High School and communicant of Christ the King Church. Julie was owner of Modern Bridal in Indian Orchard for 35 years and in her spare time, enjoyed being active at the Ludlow Senior Center and spending time with her family and friends. Julie was the beloved wife of the late Frederick “Forby” Severyn, who predeceased her in 2003; a loving mother to Robert Severyn and wife Susan, and Robin Chandonnet, all of Ludlow, and the late Scott Severyn, who predeceased her in 2003; a dear sister to the late Laura Gonsalves and late husband Joseph; a cherished grandmother to Derek and wife Jamie, Calvin, and Evan Chandonnet, Tyler and Breanna Severyn, and Alyssa Garriga and husband Ozzie; an adoring great-grandmother to Tannar Severyn, Weston Garriga, and Corey and Cameron Chandonnet; a dear sister-in-law to Dorothy Majka and husband Edward; an also leaves many loving extended family members, and dear friends. Funeral services for Julie are on Friday, August 23rd. Visiting hours are from 9:00am -10:45am in Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a funeral home chapel service at 11:00am followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julie’s memory to Friends of the Ludlow Senior Center 37 Chestnut St. Ludlow, Ma. 01056.
