Obituary for Justina (Evangelista) Neto
Justina (Evangelista) Neto, 88, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Friday July 1, 2016. Born in Ludlow to the late Antonio and Joaquina (Gil) Evangelista, Justina was a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano and a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. As an established member of the community, Justina worked at Frank’s Diner and Smith and Wesson, from which she retired. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose Neto who predeceased her in 1992. Sadly, Justina was also predeceased by her adored daughter,Luisa Tinsley, in 2009. She is survived by her loving son, Carlos Neto, daughter in law, Sao Neto, son in law Robert Tinsley and cherished granddaughters, Jessi Tinsley, Alison Neto and Amanda Tinsley. She leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Also predeceased by her sisters, Mary Ribeiro, Ermina Eulo, and Aline Ribeiro as well as her brothers Joseph, Frank, Charlie and Val Evangelista. She had a real passion for cooking, entertaining and sharing those passions with others. Justina was a truly beautiful, generous and fun loving woman who enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and will forever be deeply missed. The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Wingate at Wilbraham Nursing Home for their loving care. Funeral services for Justina will be held on Friday July 8, 2016 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00pm.
