Obituary for Kathleen May (Cairns) Giebner
Kathleen May (Cairns) Giebner of Winter Springs, FL formerly of Ludlow passed away peacefully on April 22,2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in Westfield MA on March 23,1946, the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Lafountain) Cairns.
She graduated from Ludlow High School in 1964 and Fitchburg Nursing School. Kathy worked many years as a nurse in hospitals and local doctor offices.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Norman, whom she married on March 4, 1967 and her three sons Norman T. Giebner of Agawam, Mark Giebner and his wife Stephanie of Casselberry FL and Eric Giebner of Winter Springs FL. She leaves 7 grandchildren; Jordan Inglesby and husband Patrick, Hallie Giebner, Colin Giebner, Logan Giebner, Morgan Giebner, Madison Giebner and Quinn Giebner. She also leaves her special nephew Connor Monaghan of Monson as well as several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Cairns in 2014.
Calling hours will be held Thursday May 9th at the Ludlow Funeral Home 432 East Street Ludlow from 4:00-6:00PM concluding with a funeral home service at 6:00PM, followed by a reception at the Ludlow Country Club 1 Tony Lema Drive Ludlow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Boston Children's Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215-5301
