Obituary for Laurinda (Goncalves) Crespo
Laurinda (Goncalves) Crespo, 89 years old of ludlow was called home to be with god on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Â Born in Padornelos, Portugal to the late Joao and Maria (Oliveira) Goncalves. She has lived in Ludlow since 1966. She was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. She shared her life with her beloved husband of 64 years, Augusto A. Crespo also of Ludlow. She worked for Ludlow Textiles for 30 years in Ludlow.One of her greatest enjoyments and hobbies was knitting/crocheting doilies for her family and grandchildren to enjoy. Â She would always look forward to our family gatherings. Â Truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her heart soul was her cooking and creating her master piece meals for friends and family. Her special recipes will never be forgotten. The loving mother to Sao Lamas and her late husband Nelson Lamas, Augusto Crespo and wife Maria Barroso Crespo, and Tony Crespo, John Crespo and his wife Darcey Crespo. Grandmother to 9 and great grandmother to 7. Â Â Â She leaves 1 brother and her 2 sisters and several loving nieces and nephews, sadly Laurinda was predeceased by her 2 sisters, 1 brother, Â and her grandson Daniel Crespo. Â Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 18, 2017 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Â Visiting hours are Tuesday evening from 4:00-7:00pm.
