Obituary for Leanora I. (Petraccone) Diotalevi
Leanora I. (Petraccone) Diotalevi, 91, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Barre, Ma., daughter of the late Antonio and Angelina Petraccone, she was a longtime Ludlow resident where she was a faithful communicant and active member of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church. She was also active at the Ludlow Senior Center, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family who adored her. Leanora was the beloved wife of the late Geno G. Diotalevi, who predeceased her in 1992; a loving mother to John Diotalevi and his wife Lisa, of Ludlow, and Jean Sullivan and her late husband George, of Enfield; a cherished grandmother to Michael and Meghan Diotalevi, and Joseph Sullivan; a dear sister to Mary Bomba and husband Stanley, of Barre, and the late Salvatore Petraccone; and also leaves several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 at 10am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church at 11am followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Friday evening from 4-7pm. Â
