Obituary for Leon C. Forsyth
Leon C. Forsyth, 86, of Ludlow, died peacefully on April 8, 2013. Born in Ludlow, son of the late Earl and Alice (Lapine) Forsyth, he was a longtime resident and a faithful communicant of the St. John the Baptist Church within the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth. Leon was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving his country in the Korean War. He also worked for many years at Monsanto before retiring. Leon was the beloved husband of the late Emma (Lavoie) Forsyth, who predeceased him in 2011; a loving brother to Dorothy Letarte, of CA; and also leaves several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Funeral services for Leon will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 9:15am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation will precede the funeral from 8:15-9:15am.
