Frink and Margaret Anna (Forgette) Frink. Leroy lived his life to the fullest—sometimes pushing the envelope—but he always put the needs of others above his own. He cared for the love of his life, Helen Margaret (Connelly) Frink, up until the moment she was called home to eternal life in November 2024.

He often shared many stories of his time on an icebreaker in the Antarctic. While at port in Boston, he met the love of his life, Helen Connelly, and the two were married on September 11, 1965. In 1973, they built their home in Ludlow, and shared may wonderful years together fulfilling their life’s dream. If you met Leroy even once, you knew he had the biggest heart and would help anyone in need. Leroy worked for 37 years at Westvaco, upon retirement, he spent his summers at the Salisbury Beach State Reservation, where he fulfilled a lifelong dream of working with the Massachusetts State Police as a Host Camper, caring for their horses. Every winter, he enjoyed his time working at Bright Nights manning the front gate, putting a smile on every visitor’s face, making the young college kids laugh while keeping them in line and passing out dog treats to all his four-legged friends.
Leroy is survived by his two sons, Mark (Cheryl Alleman) of Ludlow and Scott (Sarah Ankiewicz) of Easthampton; his grandson, Alan, his wife, Tara, and his great-grandchildren, Aedan, Rylan, and Maura; and of course, his beloved dog, Sasha, his constant companion, especially in the last few months before his passing.
