Obituary for Ligia Maria Machado Jorge
Ligia Jorge, 45, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8th, 2010 surrounded by her family. Born in Teloes, Portugal, she has lived in Ludlow since 1997 and worked for many years at Leoni Wire in Chicopee. She leaves her loving parents Joao Jose Jorge and Maria Arlete Jorge of Teloes, Portugal; her sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew in Ludlow as well as 2 sisters and 1 brother in Portugal. Ligia also leaves her cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends in Portugal and in Ludlow. A chapel service will be held Thursday evening February 11th, 2010 at 7:00pm from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visitation will precede the service from 5:00pm-7:00pm; burial will take place in Portugal. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ligia’s memory to: the D’Amour Center For Cancer Care, 3350 Main Street Springfield, MA. 01107.Â
