Obituary for Lillian (De Pretto) Higgins
Lillian (De Pretto) Higgins, 87, of Ludlow was called home to be with God on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011. Born in Springfield to the late Eugene and Maria (Framarin) De Pretto, she was a long time Ludlow resident and a faithful communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Parish. Lillian was the beloved wife of the late Ray Higgins who predeceased her in 1989. She was the loving mother of Gail Conde of Palmer, Brian Higgins of Springfield, Mark Higgins of Warren, and Keith Higgins of Mullica Hill, NJ.; cherished grandmother of Thomas Conde, Christine Higgins, Lisa Conde, Jennifer Higgins, Jeffrey Michael Higgins, Ross Lee Higgins, Jessica Higgins and Allison Higgins; great-grandmother of Nicholas Conde, Natalie Conde and Dylan Sage Higgins ; and a caring sister to Walter De Pretto of West Springfield. Lillian’s funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011. Family and friends are asked to gather at the Church of Divine Mercy in Three Rivers, MA for a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield. There are no visiting hours and the funeral arrangements are entrusted to Ludlow Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
