Obituary for Linda (Newbury) Markiewicz
Linda (Newbury) Markiewicz, 65, of Ludlow was called home to be with God on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Born in Ludlow to the late Roy and Ermalinda (Alves) Newbury, she was a lifelong Ludlow resident. She was a graduate of St. John the Baptist School and Cathedral High School and she worked for many years at Gowen and Trombly Insurance Agency. She leaves her beloved husband of 44 years, Walter Markiewicz of Ludlow; loving sons Glenn Markiewicz and his companion Heather Verdon and Damon Markiewicz and his wife Laura both of Ludlow; her dear brother Joseph Newbury and his wife Dianne of Ludlow; cherished grandchildren Amanda Bressem, Dustin Markiewicz, Devin Markiewicz and Cameron Markiewicz as well as her great-grandchildren Kayla, Potter and the late Jocelyn Kiara Lopez. Funeral services for Linda will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012. Family and friends are asked to meet at St. Elizabeth Church at 11:00am for a Liturgy of Christian Burial followed by interment in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday evening from 4:00-7:00pm at the Ludlow Funeral Home.
