Obituary for Lori Ann (Moreno) Kedziorek
Lori Ann (Moreno) Kedziorek, 63, of Ludlow passed away on December 5, 2017, holding hands with her daughter, and with her sister and brother by her side. She was recently predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband of 43 years Zbigniew "Oscar" Kedziorek. Born in Ludlow, a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Palheiredo) Moreno, she attended Ludlow Schools and graduated from Ludlow High School in 1972. She was a communicant of Christ The King Catholic Church in Ludlow. Lori leaves behind her daughter Kimberly Kedziorek of Wilbraham, to forever cherish her extraordinary love, devotion, and their unique friendship. She will be deeply missed by her sister Judy Metcalf and brother Louis Moreno, and niece and nephew Michelle and Joseph Moreno; as well as sister-in-laws Krystyna Kedziorek, Margie Kedziorek, Regina Toussaint, and brother-in-law Henry Kedziorek. In addition to her parents and husband, Lori was predeceased by her sister Donna Moreno, brother-in-law Kevin Metcalf, and sister-in-law Elizabeth Burton.
Lori was a devoted and caring wife and mother, completely dedicating herself to the well-being of her family and home. Motherhood was her true vocation in life, cherishing the awesome responsibility and boundless joy it brought. She often said there was no role more honorable or important than mothering. Lori was so very proud of Kimberly and the wonderful woman she became. Her greatest joys came from the accomplishments of her daughter. They shared a unique and enduring bond. All her life, she adored her pet cats. Misty will greatly miss being by her side, receiving her loving attention. Her love of animals also extended to advocacy for animal shelters and wildlife conservation. She generously supported a wide range of charities and worthy causes. Lori was a lifelong avid reader starting from the age of five. She read everything and anything, soaking up the knowledge, experiences, and emotions in the written words. She was also blessed with a phenomenal memory. Lori could have quality conversations with anyone, on any topic. She passed along her love of reading first to her littlest sister, then her daughter.
Lori was a rock. She displayed an exterior strength and confidence with mental toughness, and at her core, she was extremely loving with a tender heart. Lori was fiercely protective of those she loved and was also compassionate to the less fortunate and those suffering. She was always an advocate against injustice of any stripe. Lori had a rich, interior spiritual life, which shaped her beliefs and actions. The love and devotion Lori shared will remain forever. "Love rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails."
Funeral services will be Monday, December 11th at 9:00 a.m. from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Christ the King Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
