Obituary for Lorraine S. (Willette) Ferreira
Lorraine S. (Willette) Ferreira, 88, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2017 surrounded by love. Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Wallace and Viola (Chenaille) Willette, she grew up in Indian Orchard and was graduate of Commerce High School. She then settled in Ludlow where she devoted herself to raising her family. Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Casemiro “Porky” Ferreira, who predeceased her in 2014; a loving mother to Wayne Ferreira, of Ludlow, Daniel Ferreira, of Somers CT, and Lori Hanson, of Ludlow; an adoring grammy to Danielle and Joshua Ferreira, and Alexis Jerusik; a cherished great-grammy of Riley; a dear sister to Lawrence Willette, of Ludlow, Irene Gelinas, of Georgia, and the late Frank Willette and Lena Kirrcherr; and also leaves her beloved dog Brady, many loving extended family members and dear friends. Visitation for Lorraine will be held on Friday Morning, August 25th from 9:30-10:15am in Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a funeral home chapel service at 10:30am. Burial will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorraine's memory to honor her love of animals to: the TJ O’Conner Animal Center 627 Cottage St, Springfield, MA 01104.
