Obituary for Louis John Wroblewski
Louis John Wroblewski, 88, of Ludlow, was called home to be with God on Friday April 20, 2012. Born in Salem, MA, the son of the late John and Mary (Kozakevich) Wroblewski-Zmijewski, he was a graduate of Salem High School. Louis worked for many years at Grossmans Lumber Company as a district manager before his retirement, he was a faithful communicant of St. Cecelias Church in Wilbraham and a former member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Ludlow, where he was a Eucharistic minister. Louis enjoyed Bible Study Group and the Men’s Prayer Group on Saturday mornings at St. Elizabeth Church in Ludlow, and also enjoyed gardening and playing golf and was a proud member of the American Legion Post 0052. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII. His overseas duty in WWII was spent in Italy as a member of the 15th Air Force, 460th Bomb Group, 761st Squadron. His decorations include, 7 seven Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and a Overseas Service Bar along with the Distinguished Unit Citation and Flying Cross. He leaves his beloved wife of 67 years Frances (Pensen) Wroblewski; loving daughters Katherine Bryant and her husband Walter of Brandon, VT., Judith Fowler and her husband Albert of Bethany, MS, and Janet Mickle and her husband Rob, of Lanesboro, MA; cherished grandchildren Eric Fish, Jessica Jovanovic, Brian Fish, John Bryant, and Tom Bryant; his great-grandson Michael Fish; 2 step-grandchildren Travis and Luke Mickle; caring brothers Edward Zmijewski of Sutton, Raymond Zmijewski of Wallingford, CT, Michael Zmijewski of Savannah, GA., and his sister Lucille Little of Danvers. “Uncle Louis” also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews; as well as extended family, friends and his dear neighbors whom the family wishes to acknowledge for their love and caring support. Sadly, Louis was predeceased by his brother Bill and sisters Elaine, Theresa and Alice. Funeral services for Louis will be held on Wednesday April 25, 2012 at 10am from the Ludlow Funeral Home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Cecilias Church in Wilbraham. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Visiting hours are Tuesday evening from 4-7pm

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Louis’ name to the charity of ones choice.
