Obituary for Louise A. (Olbrych) Lewicki
Louise A. (Olbrych) Lewicki, 83, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chicopee, daughter of the late Vincent and Wanda (Rozek) Olbrych, she was a 1945 graduate of Chicopee High School and was a longtime Ludlow resident. She was employed at U.S. Envelope, Sickles, and as a lunch monitor for East Street School before deciding to stay at home to raise her family. She was also a faithful communicant of Christ the King Church, belonged to the Ludlow Senior Citizens Club, and enjoyed cross-stitching. Louise was the beloved wife of 60 years to Edwin Lewicki; a loving mother to Michael Lewicki and wife Debbie, of Boxford, MA, and Nancy Lewicki, of West Springfield; a cherished grandmother to Jason and Amanda Lewicki; a dear sister to Frank Olbrych and wife Flora, of Chicopee, Esther Skiba and husband Raymond, of West Springfield, and he late Albert (Janet) Olbrych and Stanley (Doris) Olbrych; and also leaves several nephews, 2 nieces, many loving extended family members and dear friends.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Friends and Family are asked to gather for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30am in Christ the King Church followed by burial in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam at 1:00pm. Visiting hours are on Monday evening from 4-7pm at Ludlow Funeral Home.Louise’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and entire staff at Birch Manor Nursing Center for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Louise’s memory to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, Christ the King Church 41 Warsaw Ave. Ludlow, Ma. 01056, or New England Hospice 190 Old Derby Rd.
