Obituary for Louise (Saletnik) Gow
Louise M. (Saletnik) Gow, 94, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Born in Indian Orchard, she has lived in Ludlow since 1952, before moving to Wilbraham in 2000. Louise loved gardening, baby sitting her grandchildren, reading, watching the Red Sox and spending time outside with her birdfeeders. Louise was the beloved wife of the late Frank D. Gow, who predeceased her in 1964 and mother to Richard Gow who passed away in 2002. She leaves her loving son James Gow and his companion Kathy Coyle of Monson; caring grandchildren David J. Gow and his wife Renee of Chicopee, Andrew R. Gow and Sadie Delisle of Wheelwright, MA. Nancy Tunis of Ludlow, Michael Gow and his wife Carol of Holyoke; 9 cherished great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren; her sister-in-law Mary Gow of Springfield, daughter-in-law Cynthia Gow of Chicopee as well as several nieces, nephews friends and staff at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. Sadly Louise was predeceased by her brothers, Francis, Walter and Peter Saletnik and her sisters Agnes Marini, Annie Szozebak and Victoria Swiech. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Ludlow Funeral Home from 2:00-4:15pm concluding with a Celebration of Life Service at 4:30pm.
