Obituary for Lucille (Costa) Silva
Lucille (Costa) Silva, 93, of Southwick, and formerly of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2019, with her familyby her side. Born in Ludlow, she had worked for many years at both Ludlow Manufacturing and Sales Co. and Springfield Wire. She was the widow of Armando Da Silva, who died in 2011.She leaves a daughter; Marlene Quinlan, and her husband James Johnson, 2 grandchildren;Amanda and Kyle, 3 step grandchildren; Andrea, Megan and Erik, 4 great grandchildren, a brother Albert “Lefty” Costa and a sister Sarah Lucas, and several nieces and nephews..The family would like to send a special thanks to the staffs of the Governor Center and Baystate Noble Hospital ICU, for the kindness, care and compassion shown to Lucille. Funeral services will be Friday morning July 5th , at 8 AM, at the Ludlow Funeral Home , with a Liturgy of Christian Burialin Our Lady of Fatima Church at 9. Burial to follow at 11 AM at the MA. Veterans Memorial Cemetery Agawam. Visiting hours will be Thurs evening from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Westfield Emergency Services, Court St Westfield,01085 or the Southwick Emergency Services Depot St. Southwick 01077.
