Obituary for Luis Fialho
Luis Fialho, 76, of Indian Orchard passed away peacefully on Saturday November 23, 2013 in the comfort of his home surrounded by is loving family. Born in Taveiro, Portugal to Manuel and Felismina (Maria) Fialho he immigrated to the United States in 1973 and settled in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield. Luis worked for many years as a mason and was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. He was a man who loved to make people smile and will forever be remembered for his kindheart and the friendships that he made. He leaves his beloved wife of 46 years Rosa (Vicente) Fialho; his cherished son Luis Fialho and his wife Augusta of Ludlow; caring grandfather to Alyssa, Lia and Luis Fialho; brother of Ilidio Fialho and his wife Adelaide of Ludlow, Lucia Marques of Springfield and several brothers and sisters in Portugal. Funeral services for Luis will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be Wednesday morning only from 8:15am-9:45am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated in Our Lady of Fatima Church at 10:30am with burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
