Obituary for Lynn F. (Hall) Marszalek
Lynn F. (Hall) Marszalek, 70, of Wilbraham passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 21, 2019, shortly after being diagnosed with leptomeningeal disease. Lynn grew up in Indian Orchard and attended Springfield Technical High School, class of 1967. After graduation, she completed her registered nursing degree at the Salem School of Nursing and worked as a nurse for Baystate Health until retiring in 2016. Lynn was blessed with a very close and caring circle of friends and family. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Stephen Marszalek, and their daughters: Kathryn Chace, her husband Aubrey of Springfield and Alison Abare and her husband Nathan, along with her grandchildren Carter and Cameron Abare of Springfield. She also leaves a sister, Kay Guilbault and her husband Thomas of Wilbraham, and their children Laura Guilbault and Andrea Pasquini; her sisters-in-law, whom she always considered her full sisters, Barbara Cox (deceased) and her husband Rex of Louisville, Kentucky; Sandra Westphal and her husband Kenneth (deceased) of Beaverton, Michigan; Patricia Markiewciz and her husband Robert of Agawam; and Linda Bowers and her husband Robert of Agawam; her brother-in-law Michael Marszalek (deceased); plus many other nieces and nephews. A life-long animal lover, donations in her memory can be made to Thomas J O’Connor Adoption Center 627 Cottage St, Springfield, MA 01104. All services will be private at the discretion of the family.
