Obituary for Manuel A. Dos Reis
Manuel A. Dos Reis, 84, of Indian Orchard, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bustelo, Portugal, he proudly served in the Portuguese Army before immigrating to New Bedford. He then lived in Florida for many years before moving to Indian Orchard and was the owner of Reis Construction Corporation for many years before retiring. Manuel was the beloved husband of over 45 years to the late Albina (Pereira Dias) Dos Reis, who predeceased him in 2015; a loving father to Georgina, Jose, Diane, David, Daniel, Fernando, Michael, Christina, Manuel, Victor, and Carlos Dos Reis, Elizabeth DaCosta, and the late Tiago Dos Reis. He also leaves his brother Geronimo Dos Reis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Funeral services for Manuel will be on Saturday, May 26th 10:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours will precede the funeral from 8:00-10:00am.
