Obituary for Manuel Rodrigues
Manuel Rodrigues, 85, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2016 surrounded by loving family. Born in Portugal, he has been a longtime Ludlow resident where he was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and former member of the Gremio Lusitano Club. Manuel worked for many years at Chapman Valve and Alves Construction before retiring, and also enjoyed gardening, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Manuel was the beloved husband of 61 years to Maria (Matos) Rodrigues; a loving father to Manuel A. Rodrigues and wife Barbara, of Ware, Grace Marques and husband Joao, of Ludlow, Irene Kane and husband John, of Ludlow, and Lori Cummings and husband John, of Palm Coast FL; a devoted grandfather to Michael and Joey Rodrigues, Marco Saraiva, Cristina Giannakopoulos and her husband Elias, and Daniel Marques; cherished great-grandfather to Olivia, a dear brother to Maria Helena Vicente, of Cumberland RI, and the late Antonio Rodrigues, Maria da Graca Marques, Delmira Rodrigues, Lucinda Rodrigues and Jose Rodrigues; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services for Manuel will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10th at 10:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours will precede the funeral from 8:30-10:00am.
