Obituary for Manuela (Ganhao) Faria
Manuela G. Faria, 82 of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2021. Manuela was born in Vau, Portugal to the late Constantino and Emilia Ganhao. Manuela was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She worked for many years at Springfield Wire before her retirement in 2001. She enjoyed gardening and going to Old Orchard Beach, ME with her family. Manuela was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Joaquim M Faria. A loving mother to Nuno Faria and wife Gloria, and Carlos Faria and wife Stella, a devoted grandmother to Marco, Amanda and Morgan Faria and adoring great- grandmother to Gianna Faria: all of Ludlow. A dear sister to Valeriano, Ismael, & Joaquim Ganhao, Maria Francisco, Ederlinda Maria, the late Pedro and Jose Ganhao, Olivia Santos and Irene Ganhao. She also leaves behind an extended family of nephews & nieces, who she adored. A walk-through visitation will be held for Manuela on Monday, March 1, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Ludlow Funeral Home adhering to social distancing and no contact guidelines, with a Liturgy of Christian burial celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church at 11 a.m. followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
