Obituary for Margaret M. (Nagy) Finger
Margaret M. Finger, 87, formerly of West Springfield, has joined her husband in eternal peace.  She passed away quietly on Monday, April 16, 2007, at the home of her daughter and loving son in-law, with whom she resided for the past seven years.  Born in Budapest, Hungary, daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Graff) Nagy, Margaret was a devoted and loving mother, wife, and homemaker.  She had many part time jobs including, teacher’s aid.  When asked, she always replied “my stay at home, mom, job” was her favorite.  In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, sewing, bingo and occasional trip to the casino.  Her loving husband Armin A. Finger, whom she shared fifty seven years with, predeceased her in 2000.  She will be sadly missed by her three children Armin A. Finger and his fiancée Roberta Scelea of Lagrangeville, NY, Ronald R. Finger and his wife Lauri of Fort Meade, SD, and her daughter Brenda M. Cecchini and her husband Robert of Ludlow; her grandchildren, Keith Finger, Eric Finger and Jennifer Hansen; as well as 8 great grandchildren.  Bedsides her husband, she was also predeceased by her sister Eva Mummendey, her brother Louis Nagy and her precious granddaughter Nichole Kelly.  Margaret’s family would like to thank the many caring workers and volunteers of Baystate Visiting Nurse and Hospice.  They shared with us their unending compassion, love and kindness during this difficult time.  Her funeral will be on Thursday morning at 11:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home 432 East St. Ludlow, followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:00pm in St. Mary of the Assumption Church followed by Burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday morning from 10:00 – 11:00am and memorial donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to Baystate VNA and Hospice, 50 Maple St. PO BOX 9058, Springfield, Ma. 01102-9058.
