Obituary for Maria Aleixo
Maria Esteves Vaz Aleixo, 68, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2008.  Born in Santo Andre, Montalegre, Portugal , she lived in Ludlow for over 15 years.  She was the widow of Antonio Aleixo, who died in 2000.  Maria leaves her loving children, Joseph and his wife Maria , Antonio and his wife Yvette, Rosa Gates, and Ana Maria DaSilva and her husband Antonio, all of Ludlow; as well as her beloved grandchildren; Stacy, Joseph, Stephanie, Shannon, Nicholas and Antonio (A.J.) Aleixo, Nicole and Jake DaSilva and Jessica Gates.  Funeral Services will be Monday at 9 AM from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church at 10 AM. Burial will be in Portugal. Visiting hours are Sunday evening from 4-7 PM and donations in her memory may be made to the family c/o Ludlow Funeral Home.
