Obituary for Maria Alves Crespo Seguro
Maria Alves Crespo Seguro, 97 of Ludlow passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Born in Meixedo, Portugal to Antonio and Balbina (Baia) Crespo she has lived in Ludlow for many years and was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Seguro who predeceased her in 2020 after 73 years of marriage. She leaves her loving children: Armando Alves and wife Adelina, Idalina Andre and her late husband Jose, Joaquina Andre and her husband Jose and Domingos Seguro and his wife Sao; Adored grandchildren Carlos Seguro (Angela), Dinis Andre (Cristina), Elizabete Birri (Jason), Lisa Andre (Chunn), Cristina Alexander (Kyle), Stacey Sullivan (Daniel) and Dominic Seguro; her greatest joy was her cherished great-grandchildren Gabriel, Evelyn, Lucas, Tiago, Tomas, Juliana, Allison and Owen; Her caring sisters Gloria Alves Crespo of Bridgeport, Dolfina Justo, Balbina Alves Crespo and Joaquina Juliano all of Portugal as well as several loving nieces and nephews in the US, Portugal, France and Brazil. Sadly, she was predeceased by her brothers Jose and Bento and her sister Alzira and Ana. Funeral services for Maria will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visiting hours are Tuesday morning from 8:45 AM to 10:15 AM with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 11AM and Our Lady of Fatima Church, followed by Burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
