Obituary for Maria de Esperanca Becerra
Maria de Esperanca (Nogueira) Becerra of Ludlow passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Vale de Anta, Chaves, Portugal and was the daughter of the late Manuel Nogueira and Maria Paula she was the youngest of four brothers and one sister who sadly predeceased her. Maria emigrated to Cuba when she was 19 years old, there she met her future husband, Ramon Becerra. Together they had 2 daughters, Maria de Los Angeles Becerra and Teresa Becerra. As a family they emigrated to La Coruna Spain in 1970 and then to the United States on May 9th, 1973, where they settled in Ludlow. Ramon and Maria both worked and retired from Dielectrics Inc. and shared a beautiful life with their daughters. Sadly, Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ramon in 2001. She leaves her adored daughters Maria and Teresa along with several caring nieces and nephews and extended family and friends as well as her cherished birds and cats. Funeral services for Maria will be held on Friday, November 21st at 8:45am from the Ludlow Funeral Home, with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours at the Funeral Home are Thursday evening November 20th from 5:00-7:00pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Maria's memory to St Jude Children's Hospital @www.stjude.org
