Obituary for Maria F. (Francisco) Leal
Maria F. (Francisco) Leal, 86, of Ludlow, died peacefully on December 14, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Casais Mestementes, Portugal, she came to Ludlow in 1966 where she was a faithful communicant of Our lady of Fatima Church and worked for many years at Ludlow Manufacturing before retiring in 1972. Maria's greatest joy in life was spending time with her adoring family; especially her grandchildren. Maria was the beloved wife of Jose M. Leal, who predeceased her in 2007; a loving mother to Jose Leal, Thomas Leal and his wife Bernadette, Ana Sa and her husband Jose, and Maria Salvador and her husband Tony, all of Ludlow; a dear sister to the late Joao Tomas, Antonio Morgado, Joaquim Francisco, and Manuel Morgado; a cherished grandmother to Tanya, Jennifer, Grace, Ryan, Jordan, Devon and Dylan; great-grandmother of Brendan, Ethan, Makenzie, and Cameron; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be on Tuesday morning at 9:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 4-7pm.
