Obituary for Maria Julia Daeira
Maria Julia (Goncalves) Daeira, 80, 0f Ludlow, was called safely home to be with God on Tuesday, May 2, 2006. Born in Portugal, she came to Ludlow in 1978 where she was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Carlos, who passed away in 2001. Maria was the loving mother of Jose Antonio Goncalves, Jose Joaquim Goncalves, Maria Arminda Dias, Maria da Conceicao Goncalves, Maria Cecilia Rodrigues and Maria Fernanda Dafler all of Ludlow; dear sister of Jose Dias of Fairhaven, MA., Arminda Demoura, Preciosa Pereira both of New Bedford, MA., Joaquina Goncalves of Ludlow and the late Rosa Afonso, Conceicao Borlido and Jose Fernandes; cherished grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 4. Funeral services will be held Friday May 5, 2006 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9.
