Obituary for Maria (Santos) Vieira
Maria A (Santos) Vieira, 89, of Ludlow was called home to God on Monday October 22, 2007. Born in New Bedford, she lived in Portugal for many years before returning to Ludlow in 2002. Maria was a faithful communicant of our Lady of Fatima Church and will be missed by all who loved and cared for her. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Julio who died in 2000. She leaves her loving sons Antonio Vieira and his wife Maria and Julio Vieira and his wife CherylAnn both of Ludlow; cherished grandchildren David Vieira and his wife Melissa, Michael Vieira, Jorge Vieira, Julio Vieira Jr., Chrystal Vieira and Tammy Chaves and her husband John; 6 great-grandchildren; caring brother Manuel Santos of Ludlow and her sisters Fernanda Da Silva of Ludlow and Maria Lourenco of Florida; Maria was also predeceased by 2 sisters. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9:00AM from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church.  Burial will take place in Cemeterio de Cortes-Leiria, Portugal. Visiting hours are Thursday evening from 5-8PM and donations may be made in Maria’s memory to the Our Lady of Fatima Parish Fund, Winsor St. Ludlow. Â
