Obituary for Maria (Zeferino) Santos
Maria (Zeferino) Santos, 84, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2010. Born in Portugal, she was a longtime resident of Ludlow and faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She worked for many years at the Chicopee Mills before retiring and enjoyed sewing and gardening. Maria was the beloved wife of 60 years to Venancio Santos; a loving mother to Manuel Santos, of Ludlow, Odete Nogueira and her husband Manuel, also of Ludlow, and Fatima Santos and her husband Joe, of East Longmeadow; a cherished grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 5; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services are on Monday, Dec. 27th at 9:45am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30am in Our Lady of Fatima Church. A visiting hour will precede the funeral on Monday from 8:45-9:45am. Burial will be held on Wed, Dec 29th at 9:30am in Island Pond Cemetery.Â
