Obituary for Marianne (Jordan) Hurst
Marianne Hurst, 66, of Springfield passed away at Baystate Hospital surrounded by her family on October 14th, 2019. Marianne was the daughter of Kathleen Jordan and the late Donald Jordan of Ludlow. She was raised in Ludlow and graduated from Ludlow High School in 1972. She was a billing administrator at Citizen Security of Ludlow, where she worked for over 30 years. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 47 years, David Hurst. She was the loving mother of Jeffrey Hurst and his wife Denise of Springfield, Brian Hurst and his wife Cynthia of Springfield, and Shannon Berte and her husband James of Ludlow. She was the cherished and adored grandmother of Christina Docherty and her husband Derek, Tyler, Joshua, Alyssa, Haley, Hannah, and Destiny Hurst, Lena and Emmet Berte, and great-grandchildren Gavin and Ian Docherty. She leaves behind her brothers and sisters, Robert Jordan, Kathleen DiSanti, Debra Herchel and husband James, Daniel Jordan and wife Eileen, many nieces and nephews, close cousins including Nancy Gilmore and husband Gerry, loving sisters and brothers in-law, and friends. Visiting hours for Marianne will be held on Thursday October 17th from 4:00-7:00pm at the Ludlow Funeral Home, 432 East St. Ludlow. Marianne’s Funeral will be on Friday October 18th, family and friends are asked to gather directly at St. Patrick's Church on Allen in Street in Springfield for a 10:00am Liturgy of Christian Mass, burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
