Obituary for Marie A. (Lavoie) Gauthier
Marie A. (Lavoie) Gauthier, 73, of Ludlow was called to Heaven on Tuesday, December 5, 2006. Born in Ludlow, the daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Cormier) Lavoie, she was a lifelong resident and a 1951 graduate of Cathedral High School. She was also a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church and worked for many years at Mass Mutual Life Ins. Co. before her retirement in 1987. Marie was the beloved wife of 46 years to Wilfred “Joe” Gauthier; a loving mother to Joseph C. Gauthier of Monson and Cheryl Gauthier of Belchertown; and a dear sister to Eugene Lavoie, Emma Forsyth and Yvonne Sheppard, all of Ludlow. Funeral services will be on Saturday morning at 10:15 from the Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:15 in St. John the Baptist Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Friday evening from 4-8pm and memorial donations may be made in Marie’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation 85 Astor Ave. Suite 2, Norwood, Ma. 02062.
