Obituary for Mariete (Valerio) Simao
Mariete J. (Valerio) Simao, 84, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Saturday Sept. 11th, 2010. Born in Portugal, she has lived in Ludlow since 1966. She was a retired employee of Mayfair Mills, and was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. She leaves her devoted husband of 61 years, Arlindo daRocha Simao, a loving son Rui and his wife Maryann of Ludlow; and her cherished grandchildren Rui Jr., and his wife Hollie and Joaquim, as well as a great granddaughter Calli, and 2 sisters in Portugal. Funeral services will be held Tuesday Sept. 14th at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy Of Christian Burial celebrated in Our Lady of Fatima Church at 10:00am , followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Monday evening from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
