Obituary for Marion (Bushey) Roda
Marion B. (Bushey) Roda, 81, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late William and Rhea (Leclair) Bushey, she was a lifelong resident of Chicopee where she was a faithful and active communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church. Marion devoted her life to raising her family and in her spare time, was an avid bowler alongside her husband. Marion was the beloved wife of 58 years to Paul J. Roda, who predeceased her in June of 2019; a loving mother to Edward E. Urban and wife Ann, of East Longmeadow, Deborah Josefiak and husband Alan, of Chicopee, Joseph Roda and wife Julie, of Springfield, and Frank Roda, of Ludlow; a cherished grandmother to Edward W., Anthony, Jaime and husband Kris, Jennie, Alan, Nicholas, Matthew, Landon, and the late Jeffrey Urban; an adoring great-grandmother to Alexis, Haylee, Jackson, and Logan; a dear sister to Robert and Albert Bushey, of Chicopee, and the late Alice Grenier, James Bushey, and Kenneth Bushey; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Marion’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to Willimansett West Nursing Home for their exceptional care and support. Visiting hours for Marion will be held on Wednesday, February 12th from 4:00-7:00pm in Ludlow Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held privately by her family and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marion’s memory to the Alzheimer's Association (ALZ.org) or The Parkinson's Foundation (parkinson.org).
