Obituary for Marjory (Easson) Smith
Marjory (Easson) Smith, 79, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Monday October 20th, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ludlow, she was the daughter of the late William and Janet (Cochrane) Easson. Marjory was a life long Ludlow resident, a member of Union Church of Christ in Ludlow and belonged to the local chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the Nile. Marjory leaves her beloved sons; Russell Smith of Long Island, NY, Brian Smith of Nashua, NH, Alan Smith of Silverdale, WA and Christopher Smith of Ludlow; 9 cherished grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Marjory was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur Smith Jr. in 1999 and her sister Janet Peacey. A chapel service for Marjory will be held Wednesday evening October 22, 2008 at 7:00pm from the Ludlow Funeral Home, with Reverend Tim Carlton officiating. Visiting hours will precede the Chapel service from 4-7pm. Burial will take place Thursday October 23, 2008 at 2:00pm in Island Pond Cemetery, Ludlow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marjory’s memory to Shriner’s Hospital for Children 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA. 01104.
