Obituary for Mary C. (Gebo) Bissonnette
Mary (Gebo) Bissonnette, 85, of Ludlow passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 12th, 2008.  Born in Springfield, Mary has lived in Ludlow since 1954 where she was a faithful communicant of St. John the Baptist Parish.  She was devoted to her church and was a member of the Senior and St. Martha’s Choir as well as the Ladies of St. Anne.  Mary was a 1941 graduate of Cathedral High School, a 35 year employee of the former Monsanto Company and enjoyed gardening, knitting and vacationing in York Beach, Maine.  She leaves her beloved husband of 64 years Richard Bissonnette of Ludlow; loving daughter Carol Carrington and her husband David of Ludlow; cherished grandchildren Jeffrey Romito and his wife Lisa of Springfield, Jason Carrington and his wife Isabel of Ludlow, Rebecca Jones and her husband John Paul of Lovettsville, VA. Step grandsons David Carrington and his wife Theresa of Ludlow and Daniel Carrington and his wife Joelle of Phoenix, AZ; her great-grandchildren Alexis, Sydney, Anthony, Olivia, Gillian, Jack and Kyle; sister-in-law Rita Phaneuf of Ludlow and brother-in-law Edward Fitzgerald of Milford, CT.; several loving nieces and nephews and especially her devoted dog, Poco.  Mary was predeceased by her infant son Leon Bissonnette, and her sister Mildred Lavoie.  Funeral services will be held Monday, June 16th, 2008 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. John the Baptist Church with Monsignor Homer Gosselin presiding, followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery.  Visiting hours are Sunday evening from 4-7pm.
