Obituary for Mary (Dobrzycki) Besciak
Mary Besciak, 90, of Wilbraham passed away peacefully on April 23rd, 2010 at Mayflower Nursing Center, West Yarmouth, MA. surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ludlow, MA. On October 19, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Swartz) Dobrzycki. A 1936 graduate of Ludlow High School, she remained devoted to a number of close friends and family throughout her long life. She was an accomplished artist, craftswomen, gardener, dedicated golfer, enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending endless weekends at their summer home on Cape Cod. Mary was the loving wife of the late John F. Besciak, who predeceased her in 1992, Mary and John were both long time residents of Wilbraham, MA. She leaves her son Richard J. Besciak and wife Suzanne J. Besciak; granddaughter Anna K. Besciak and her husband Brendan McCray and great-granddaughter Fiona K. McCray all of Orleans, MA. Mary also leaves her nephew Robert M. Barta and wife Joan; niece Dr. Deborah (Dobrzycki) Chun and husband Dr. Yong Sung; nephew John Demarisco and wife Diana, Michael Rodio and wife Ann. She also leaves a dear brother Mitchell Dobrzycki of Ludlow, she was predeceased by her brother Walter Dobrzycki in 2005. It is the wish of Mary’s family that funeral services and burial, in Island Pond Cemetery, are private. Ludlow Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
