Mary Frances (Penson) Wroblewski, passed away comfortably in her own home on December 9th 2022 at the age of 96. Prior to a brief illness, Fran, as she was called, was able to live independently, staying very active managing her own home, grateful for some assistance from family, neighbors and friends. She is predeceased by her husband of 70 years Louis J Wroblewski. Born in Salem, MA and raised in Danvers, she was a graduate of Holton High School. Fran worked for Aetna Insurance as a claims adjuster but her life's work was raising her family and making her house a home. She is survived by her three daughters; Katherine Bryant of Brandon, Vermont, Judith Fowler of Bethany, Missouri, and Janet Mickle of Lanesboro MA. Also, her five grandchildren; Eric Fish of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Jessica Humphrey of Burlington, Vermont, Brian Fish of Brooklyn, New York, John Bryant of Brandon, Vermont, Thomas Bryant of Brandon, Vermont and her great grandson Michael Fish of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Fran was a leader in 4-H and Brownies while raising her children. She was noted for her cooking and her artistic talents including sewing and painting. She was an avid gardener, and with her husband Louis she enjoyed golfing and playing the organ. She was consistent over the years, reassuring her family “everything is good, Honey”. Even in her final days, she expressed gratitude for her life and often stated “I am so blessed”. A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held at a later date at Saint Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Wilbraham and she will be interned with her husband at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Donations may be made in her memory to Baystate Hospice, 30 Capital Drive, West Springfield, Ma. 01089.
