Obituary for Maureen (O'Connor) Chevalier
Maureen A. (O’Connor) Chevalier, age 74, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, May 16, 2019 after a courageous 50 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born in Holyoke on January 8, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Ann (Leslie) O’Connor. Maureen was a 1963 graduate of Holyoke Catholic High School and lived the remainder of her life in Ludlow as a devoted wife, mother and friend. Maureen was predeceased by her loving husband Robert Chevalier Sr. in 2006 and by her sister Eileen Cosgrove in 2018. She will be eternally missed by her loving family, Eileen LaFromboise and her husband Jim of Ludlow, Pamela Flowers and her husband Steve of Ludlow, Robert Chevalier Jr. and his wife Jodi of Romoland, California, Mark Chevalier and his wife Janine of Ludlow, her grandchildren Jason Besner, Joshua and Meghan Flowers, Haley Chevalier, Emma and Parker Chevalier, Ashley O’Dea, Nicholas and Tyler LaFromboise and her many family members, nieces and nephews and loving friends. Remember to “Always look for the Rainbow”. Funeral services for Maureen will be held on Thursday May 23, 2019 at 8:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home, with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated at 9:00am in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday evening from 4:00-7:00pm and in lieu of flowers it was the wish of Maureen’s family that donations be made in her memory to the charity of one's choice.
