Obituary for Michael Belanger
Michael Albert Belanger, 62, of Ludlow passed away to eternal rest on Thursday, September 23rd. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather and sibling. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years Melissa (Hannah) Belanger, daughters Jennifer and Brandy and his grandchildren Colin Belanger and Zoey Minnie, parents George (deceased) and Claire (Pratte) Belanger of Ludlow, siblings Donna Marie Garcia, her husband Jose, Denise Cardaropoli and David Belanger and his wife Mimi along with many nieces and nephews. Michael was a Freemason and Shriner. He had a go-cart that he would ride in parades and squirt people on the side with water. He loved camping and fishing. Anybody Mike met was not a stranger, only a friend he hadn’t met. He was active in the Indian Orchard Citizens and ran for Springfield City Council. He owned his own business, Main St. Auto, for 35 years. Funeral services for Michael will be held on Thursday September 30, 2021 at 9:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Mass celebrated in St. Elizabeth Church at 10:00 followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation hours are Wednesday evening September 29th from 5:00-7:30pm at the Ludlow Funeral Home.
