Obituary for Michael J. Malaquias
Michael J. Malaquias, 29 of Springfield, was called back into God’s care on Saturday June 24, 2006. Born in Holyoke, he lived most of his life in Ludlow. He worked for Borges Construction Co, and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and belonged to the Gremio Lusitano Club and its pool league.  He leaves his loving wife Lisette (Silva) Malaquias ; 2 children, Jaden Michael, and Kassie Leah, his parents, James and Maria Ines (Dias) Malaquias of Ludlow , a brother Corey of Ludlow , and 2 sisters Angela Malaquias , and her fiancée K.J. Cardinal of Hudson , and Lisa Colson and her husband Raymond of Springfield. Michael also leaves his paternal grandmother Maria Casimira Malaquias, and his maternal grandfather Antonio Dias both of Ludlow as well as a large extended family and many close friends. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Thursday morning at 10 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church with burial to follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.  Visiting hours are at the Ludlow Funeral Home Wednesday evening only from 5-8 PM.
