Obituary for Michael J. Motyka
Michael J. Motyka, 46, of Wilbraham, left this earthly life on September 24, 2008. He was born in Springfield and was a member of Putnam Vocational High School class of 1981. In his youth, Michael played for the P.A.V. Youth Hockey team and attended Immaculate Conception School, where he was also an altar server and was currently a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. He was a certified diver who loved the ocean and also enjoyed boating on the Ct. River and woodworking. Michael was the beloved son of Florence (Goncalves) Shea and her husband James, of Indian Orchard, and Robert Motyka and his wife Gail, of Hallandale Beach Florida; a loving husband to He ather (Partyka) Motyka and beloved father of Stephanie Motyka, of Wilbraham; a dear brother to Robert Motyka and his wife Linda, of West Springfield and brother-in-law to Heidi and Marty Green; and a cherished uncle to Bianca Green and Benjamin, Melissa, Robert Jr, and Nicholas Motyka. He also leaves several other loving family members, dear friends and his loyal dogs Goldie and Buddy. At the family’s request, all funeral services were held privately with burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
