Obituary for Michael Jr. Olinkiewcz
Michael Olinkiewicz Jr, 86, of Lower Whitney St.  passed away peacefully at home on January 26, 2007, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Ludlow, the son of Michael and Anastasia (Dynak) Olinkiewicz, he was a lifelong resident and a U.S. Army Veteran serving his country honorably during WWII.  Michael worked for over 40 years at Monsanto before retiring in 1985 and was a member of its 25 year club.  He was also a faithful communicant of Christ the King Church, a member of the Ludlow Senior Center and Polish American Citizens Club.  Michael was the beloved husband of 60 years to Yolanda (Cardaropoli) Olinkiewicz; a loving father to Donna Mickiewicz and her husband Daniel of Wilbraham and Dale Bossie and her husband Joe of North Carolina; and a cherished grandfather to Jared and Alana.  Family and friends are asked to gather for a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 12:00pm in Christ the King Church followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. To honor Michael’s memory, the family has requested that in lieu of flowers and donations, you perform an act of kindness to others, as Michael himself would have wanted.
