Obituary for Michael "Mickey" Dziura
Michael “Mickey” L. Dziura, 95, formerly of Ludlow, died Tuesday October 19th, surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of Ludlow, he retired from Chapman Valve Co. , and prior to that worked for many years at Westinghouse Corp. After his retirement, “Mickey” was a custodian for many years at the Ludlow Police Dept. He loved his fishing, was a avid golfer, got a hole-in-one at age 75, and was a long time member of Ludlow Country Club. He appeared on the Ted Mack Amateur Hour with the Westinghouse Chorus, and was also the number one blood donor at Westinghouse. He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Barbara (Smith) Dziura, 2 sons; David, and his wife Ida of Londonderry N.H., and Bruce and his wife Kathy of Ludlow, 6 grandchildren; Rebecca, Michael, James, Libby, Katie and William, as well as 17 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by all his siblings; Stanley and Bobby Dziura, Catherine Zabawa, Jane Podosek, Annette Mulawski, Genevieve Kosnicki and Helen Bernot. Visiting hours will be Sunday afternoon from 1-3 pm concluding with chapel services at 3pm, at the Ludlow Funeral Home.
