Obituary for Michael Pukish
Michael Pukish, 94, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 10, 2012. Born in Ludlow to the late Makary and Anna (Szaban) Pukish, he was a life long Ludlow resident and a faithful member of Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. Michael served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII and worked for many years as a government property manager for Westover Airforce Base. He was an avid golfer playing most of his golf at Westover Golf Course, where he recorded a hole-in-one. Michael was the husband of the late Gloria (Garcia) Pukish, who predeceased him in 1984. He leaves his loving niece, Deborah Symonds of Iowa and his caring nephews Peter Tanner and James Tanner both of Rhode Island as well as his cherished and dear friend Vikki Gardzienski of Ludlow. Funeral services for Michael will be held on Friday July 13, 2012 from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visitation is Friday morning only from 9:00am-10:15 with Panakhyda services beginning at 10:15am followed by a Divine Liturgy at 11:00am in Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church at 11:00am with burial to follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
