Obituary for Miquelina "Mickey" Silva
Miquelina “Mickey” A. (Santos) Silva, 94, a lifelong resident of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2021. Born in Ludlow, daughter of the late Anibal and Anna (Fonseca) Santos, she worked for many years at Smith and Wesson from where she retired in 1987. Mickey was the beloved wife of over 70 years, to the late Ceasar Silva, who predeceased her in 2018; a loving mother to Marsha Cote and her husband Robert, of Winter Haven, Fl., and Ann-Marie Silva, of Ludlow; a cherished grandmother to Brian Cote and wife Sara, of Ludlow, Kala Champagne and husband Kurt "Jake", of Springfield, and Brooke Cote Nolan and husband Doug, of Quincy; great-grandmother to Kyle, Alyssa, and Emma Cote, Shea and Kendyl Nolan, and Amelia Champagne; a dear sister to Sid Tarbox, Lena Oliveira, and late Carlos Santos, Morris Santos, Simon Santos, Terry Harasik, Julia Gajewski, and Hilda Belisle, and also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. At her request, all services were held privately with Ludlow Funeral Home, and donations in her memory to Shriners Hospital for Children 516 Carew St. Springfield, Ma. 01104.
