Obituary for Mitchell J. Kuc Sr.
Mitchell J. Kuc Sr., of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his family, at the age of 68.

Mitch was a graduate of Ludlow High School, Class of 1966, and received his Masters Degree in Education from American International College.

In 2012, Mitch retired from teaching in the Springfield Public School system after 42 years of dedicated service. He taught math and English most notably at Kennedy, Commerce and Putnam.

Mitch leaves his beloved mother, Stephanie of Ludlow, son's Mitchell Jr. and his wife Susan of Hadley, and Jonathon and his wife Kalli of West Springfield. He also leaves two Grandchildren Haverly and Tucker, and many cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father Mitchell A. Kuc in 2002, who he dearly missed.

Aside from teaching, Mitch made his family his life, raising and caring for his children and caring for his parents in their elder years. When he was younger he enjoyed golf and was proud of a "Hole in One" that he achieved at Franconia Golf Course in 1964. He could also be seen fishing daily on the Swift River. When Mitchell John and Jonathon were younger,  he enjoyed taking them fishing, camping and target shooting. He enjoyed gardening and bringing the surplus of vegetables to the Ludlow Senior Center.

Per Mitch's wishes, there are no calling hours, and services will be private and are entrusted to the Ludlow Funeral Home.

Donations in Mitch's memory can be made to the Kuc Family Scholarship Fund, PO Box 26, Ludlow Ma., 01056.

The family thanks all of the doctors and nurses at Baystate Medical Center for their wonderful care of Mitch and for making his final days as comfortable as possible.
