Obituary for Natalia (Henriques) DaConceicão
Maria Natalia (Henriques) DaConceicão, 85, of Indian Orchard, passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of Wilbraham on April 4, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in São Bartolomeu dos Galegos, Lourinhã, Portugal, daughter of the late Inácio Henriques and Julieta dos Dores Sales. In 1973, she immigrated to the U.S. with her husband and children settling in Indian Orchard and was employed at Nixon Company from where she retired. She was also a devoted Catholic and active communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish where she participated in several of their programs and events. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and was a self taught seamstress and proudly made all of her own clothes. Natalia was predeceased by her husband Amaro H. DaConceicão in 1998 and leaves her 2 sons, and Duarte Henriques (Herminia), Antonio Henriques (Vitalina), all of Ludlow, and a daughter Lucilia Moura (Humberto), of New Rochelle, NY; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and dear friends here and in Brazil, Canada, Germany, and Portugal. The family wishes to thank the staff at Life Care Center of Wilbraham for the exceptional compassionate care that was provided to their mother in the last days of her life. Funeral services for Natalia will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Visitation is from 9:00-10:15am at Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Natalia’s memory to Our Lady of Fatima Parish or to the charity of one’s choice.
