Obituary for Norman L. Cote
Norman L. Cote, 82, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully at home on August 23, 2009, with his loving family by his side. Born in West Warren, he lived most of his life there before moving to Ludlow in 1987 and was a United States Navy Veteran proudly serving his country during WWII. He worked for many years for Wonder Bread Co. and then as a self-employed handyman. He also loved woodworking, photography, music and playing the guitar. Norman was the beloved husband of 20 years to Evelyn (Bonafilia) Rivers Cote; father to Norman Cote and wife Chris, of Suffield, John Cote, Sue Nowakowski, of Ludlow, Pamela Cote and husband John, of Ashfield, Linda Goldstein and husband Bruce, of N.J., and Diane Hajdamowicz and husband Roman, of Agawam; cherished grandfather to Daniel, Michael, Adam, Brian and Sara and Kathy; great grandfather of Ariana Quesnel. He also leaves his dog and “best girl” Cinderalla “Cindy”, as well as many other loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 8:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Michael’s Church, East Longmeadow followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Tuesday evening from 4-7pm. It was Norman’s wish that flowers be sent in his memory for the services.
