Obituary for Norman R. Sevigne
Norman “Sarge” Sevigne, 79, of Ludlow died peacefully on Monday March 16th, 2009. Born in Ludlow to the late Roger and Emily (Kitwood) Sevigne he was a lifelong Ludlow resident. Norman served his Country for over 23 years as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army during both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. “Sarge” as everyone knew him, was a proud Veteran and American and served his Country with honor. Sarge was a member of the Frank W. Ackerman Post 3236 in Ludlow. He leaves his loving sisters; Dora Charest, Jackie Lind, Joan Eagen, Judy Digiorgio, Patty Massey and Jean Wrenn, his brothers; Jerry Sevigne, James Sevigne, John Sevigne and Edward Sevigne as well as several cherished nieces, nephews and fellow Veterans throughout the community. Committal services will be held Friday, March 20th, 2009 at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 1:00pm. There are no calling hours.
