Paul Armand Desilets, 66, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield, son of the late Armand and Celia (Fidalgo) Desilets, he was a lifelong resident, a faithful communicant of St. Elizabeth Parish, long-time student of Sunshine Village, a decorated Eagle Scout, Special Olympian, and employee of Norpin Manufacturing for nearly three decades. He could often be spotted playing his unofficial role of ‘Mayor’ while lending a helping hand and bringing a smile to the many lifelong friends, residents, and small business owners of his beloved town of Ludlow. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing basketball, bike riding, bowling, rocking out with his drums and guitar, dancing and singing to Elvis and Beatles tunes, and making everyone around him laugh with his real-life stories and experiences. Above all, his greatest joy was celebrating with his loved ones during family gatherings and holidays; as well as time spent at sporting events cheering on his many nieces and nephews, whom he adored. Paul was a loving brother to Celene Filip and husband Gerard, of West Springfield; a devoted uncle to Tammy Russell and husband Michael, of West Springfield, Gerard Filip, Jr., of West Springfield, Nathan Filip and wife Caitlin, of Holden, and Jenna Rosado, of West Springfield; a cherished great-uncle to Michael and Ryan Russell, Jonathan Rosado, Jr., Christopher, Vyla, Kiernan, Gabriel, Cayson, Lyla, Pippa, and Lincoln Filip; he leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Visiting hours for Paul will be held on Tuesday July 1st from 5:00-7:00pm at the Ludlow Funeral Home, his funeral will take Place on Wednesday with family and friends gathering at the Funeral Home at 8:00am with a funeral procession to St. Elizabeth's Church for a 9:00am Liturgy of Christian Mass, burial will follow in Island Pond Cemetery.
